Volunteer

PMI Chicagoland Chapter members, contribute your unique set of skills, talents, and interests. You will benefit from networking, earning Professional Development Units (PDUs), building your professional experience, but most of, HAVE FUN!

There are many ways to Get Involved with the Chicagoland chapter:  join a Director led committee, run for the Board of Directors for the chapter, write an article for the newsletter, or be a speaker at a chapter event, and many more.

The PMI Chicagoland Chapter has 34 leadership roles that operate the chapter activities and programs each year.  There are 10 Executive Board positions and 24 Director positions.

Executive Board Position:
For the Executive Board position, the standard term starts July 1st and runs through June the following year.  Look for announcements in the Spring timeframe when self-nominations are opened, and we process the selection of the leadership team for the new term. 

Generally, the Executive Board Self-Nomination is open in January/February every year. If you are interested in serving on the Board, please complete the Board Member Self-Nomination form and submit to the Board Slate Nomination Committee Chair, the Chapter Past President, at [email protected]. Minimum requirements for the Board position is provided in the Nomination Form.

Director Position:
For the Director position, the standard term starts January 1st and runs through end of December of the same year.  Look for announcements in the fall timeframe when self-nominations are opened for Director positions.  You can apply for Director position via PMI Global at https://volunteer.pmi.org/ .
