SESSION TITLE
What does the PMI-PBA Credential have to offer Project Managers?
SYNOPSIS
When working in most organizations, business analysis is a key phase in the lifecycle that the PM is responsible for managing, and sometimes, creating deliverables for. This presentation and interactive discussion will explore the intent and value behind PMI’s new PBA Credential. The speaker will lead a discussion of the potential benefits, drawbacks and opportunities of having this new credential available in the marketplace.
Presenter BIO

David Heidt is a Past President of the IIBA Chicagoland Chapter. As a Program/Project Manager and Business Analyst, David works with organizations to drive program initiatives, process definition, organization change, product and technology enhancements, performance metrics, and rapid solution development. In 2011, David, along with his team members at Sears Holding Corporation, was the recipient of the 2011 PMI Distinguished Project Award. He is an adjunct-faculty member at DePaul University and the lead instructor within DePaul’s Business Analysis and Business Process Management Certificate Programs. He holds certifications as a Certified Business Analysis Professional (CBAP) and Certified Business Process Professional (CBPP). He is also a contributing author to the recently published Product Management Body of Knowledge (PRODBOK).
