“The Four C’s of Communications”

Presenter: Carl Pritchard, PMP, PMI-RMP
Presentation Abstract:
In this compelling presentation, Carl Pritchard examines the four C's of effective communication: “Control, Cost, Community and Charisma”. Carl examines how and when we lose control of communications, and identify specific steps that we can take to ensure we retain control while engaging stakeholders in communication processes. He looks at the potential political costs of communication experiences and how Project Managers can marshal them to positively and effectively control project communications. He further explores the capacity to build communication communities in very short spans of time, and drives home the simplicity of establishing charisma without being excessive or effusive.

Upon completion of this presentation, participants will be able to:
* Identify the nature and status of communications within their organization and project community
* Build more effective links with their stakeholders and team members
* Determine the value of a project communications events relative to cost
* Take one simple step to enhance their personal charisma better control communications
Speaker Bio:
Carl Pritchard is a Speaker and “Author of the Project Management Communications Toolkit”.
He has over 25 years’ experience in project management, and has served as News Director at WASH-FM Radio in Washington, DC, which has provided him with a unique perspective on project communications. He's written seven project management texts, and served as US Correspondent for the UK project management magazine, Project Manager Today. He has also served as a Lead Chapter
Author on Risk Management for PMBOK 4, and conducts project management training and consultations globally. He is a certified PMP, and PMI-RMP.
