Starting a new business? Thinking about it? Are you part of an internal team developing a new product or service? Involved in a merger acquisition? Expanding into an international market?
Discover how your project management skills can prove valuable for you personally and professionally in an entrepreneurship/intrapreneurship role. Topics will include the Mission Statement, Corporate Strategy, and the Business Plan (Key team members, Finance Plan, Operations Plan, and Marketing Plan…). Special attention will be given to the Marketing Plan (Marketing Strategy, Marketing Plan, and Execution).
This knowledge sharing event will provide a high-level overview of the key elements to consider when developing new business opportunities. While there is no guarantee of success, a good plan can improve your odds for success.
About the Presenters:
Frank Larose, MBA, PMP: Mr. LaRose has over 30 years of global IT Leadership experience and a proven track record for delivering innovative business and technology-enabling solutions. His industry experience includes Telecom/Conferencing, Information Technology, Consulting, Healthcare, Property and Casualty Insurance, Manufacturing, Distribution, Non-Profit, Association and Education. He has worked for Verizon, Oracle, Coopers & Lybrand, and the American Hospital Association. His expertise is in Global Project Management, Business Transformation and Strategic Planning. As a life-long learner, he holds an AOS in Data Processing from Albany Business College, a B.S. in Management/Economics from Russell Sage College, and an MBA from Lake Forest Graduate School of Management with certificates in Global Business, Change Management, Management Analytics, and Strategy and Execution.
Today, Mr. LaRose is the President of BytingEdge, Inc.providing clients with expert business and IT consulting services. He is also an Adjunct Professor at Elmhurst College’s School of Professional Studies (SPS) in the Master of Project Management program. His previous experience includes multiple years as an Adjunct teaching Computer Science courses at SUNY at Albany, NY for their continuing education program. Mr. LaRose volunteers as a Pro Bono Project Director for the Taproot Foundation overseeing the implementation of Salesforce CRM and various strategy projects for nonprofit organizations. He also co-teaches an Entrepreneurship program at a high school for future business leaders.
Bruce Fischer, MBA, Ph.D: Mr Fischer is the Director of the Master’s in Project Management program at Elmhurst College and is a Professor in the Department of Business and Economics. He received an MBA from the University of Chicago in finance and a Ph.D. in Industrial Engineering from Northwestern University. Dr. Fischer has worked as a consultant specializing in organizational effectiveness and innovation. His research specialization is the management of innovation.
