Speaker Background

Anthony Mersino is an Enterprise Agile Coach with Vitality Chicago, Inc. Anthony has over 30 years of experience in delivering large-scale business programs and IT projects. He currently specializes in helping organizations effectively apply Lean and Agile principles and the Scrum Framework to gain true business agility.

Anthony has trained and coached over 100 teams to adopt agile approaches and supported dozens of Fortune 500 organizations through Agile Transformation. He coaches organizations to create an environment where people come first, productivity is high, and teamwork is effective and enjoyable.

Anthony is the Faculty Director for the Agile Graduate Certificate Program at Northwestern University. He created Northwestern’s Certificate in Agile Practices Program in 2014 and teaches four courses in this curriculum including the Agile Certified Practitioner course (PMI-ACP).

Anthony is the author of hundreds of blog posts and articles as well as two books: Agile Project Management; a Nuts and Bolts Guide and Emotional Intelligence for Project Managers; the People Skills You Need to Succeed.

Anthony achieved his Certified Scrum Master (CSM), Certified Scrum Professional (CSP) and Certified Agile Leadership (CAL) designations from the Scrum Alliance, the Professional Scrum Product Owner (PSPO) designation from Scrum.org, and the Professional Project Manager (PMP) and Agile Certified Practitioner (PMI-ACP) from the Project Management Institute. He has an undergraduate degree from Michigan State University and an MBA from Loyola University of Maryland.
