Suzanne K Nance

Biography:
For over the last three decades, Suzanne has had the opportunity to work in independent leadership roles coaching others to summit their own Everest and meet ultimate goals.  

Working in Fortune 100 companies, Allstate, Facebook, Mortenson, Centene, Collins Aerospace, and Athenahealth she has helped to develop leaders, emerging leaders, and teams to meet best practices, excel company expectations, and reach new heights.  

Holding the title of the First American Woman to have accomplished the “Explorer’s Grand Slam – summitting the tallest mountain on each of the 7 continents, and skiing to the North and South Pole, Suzanne knows about defining, designing, and delivering goals.  

Today, her most important goal is inspiring people to do the impossible - successfully.  

She will mix her personal stories with a healthy application of coaching. After all, aren’t you interested in yourself, and what would it take for you to reach your Everest?

Presentation Title: When you are trying to get to the Top of the World:  Climbing Everest 

Abstract: Everest is a two-month ascent.  It is arduous, physically and mentally exhausting, and dangerous, yet people have been attempting to summit it for 70 years. Planning for a possible ascent took years of preparation. Yet... all the planning and preparation can't negate the endless possibilities of what can go wrong. Let me share my storing of attempting to summit the tallest mountain in the World.

• Having a better understanding of how to prepare for your Everest: the logistics, the preparation, and the mental skills.  
• Having a better understanding of what it takes physically to show up to be successful. 
• Having a better understanding of the emotional toll and impact stressful situations can have on you as an individual and your teams. 
• Having a better understanding of the impact that your interactions and social skills have on your team so that you can move to success.
